There are many different video games people play around the world in their free time. There are some video games in which people take a role and perform someone else, others in which people play and win points and many more for people to just gather together and have fun.
In Ivanoba´s show and tell, she told us how crazy about video games she is and how she became a video gamer girl after being talked out of it by her father who used to tell her that video games were just for men not for women.
Let´s think about Ivanoba´s father words. Do you agree or disagree? Write your opinion.

ReplyDeleteEven though I haven't had the pleasure to meet Ivanoba personally I have to say that the two topics brought here are very interesting. First of all, I don't think there's such a thing like things for girls or boys. We live in a world in which concepts like that are basically far from reality. Some people think that video games are for young people as well and I have been a video gamer for more than 20 years which means that we live in a world of change.
My favorite games are Call of Duty, God of War and Sniper Elite

I do agree with you guys when you say girls who play video games are not common but at the same time I think it is an idea that society has sold to us. That is the reason why girls are commonly labeled into certain parameters as boys too. For example girls playing with dolls and boys playing with cars. I'd like to imagine the other way around. Anyway I think the most we get to know things that might seem uncommon, the more we expand our horizons and understand differences can only bring us together.

I like the different type games, I recommend watch the reviews games before you play the games because the review games is an introduction, where you understood the game.
I believe the games isn't just only games is a lifestyle, many people make a living as gamers. It's crazy for many peolpe but is true, the games are another world.

ReplyDeleteThe show and tell of Ivanova was very cool, video games are a way to clear the mind, but not in excess.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, because we are in the XXI century where machismo should not be seen in any aspect. We can praticar, play and do things that are considered of "men" because that is not determinant of our feminitud.
My sister loves video games, so I have some idea about these.

Some who remember are: The Sims in all expansions, resident evil 3, 4 and 5, Prince of Persia, halo ... and many more.

DeleteThere are certain games that seem to be easy for me to play. When I play Wii, I find it simple in a way.
I´m not into video games but lately I´ve been playing SimCity Social on facebook and it´s kind of interesting. Also I´ve played Resident Evil and some manga games.
I remember the time when I was crazy about playing Pacman and Mario bros.
Mario Bros is a great game on any of its editions!

OORPG: Short for massively multiplayer online role-playing game it is a type of game genre.
n00b: n00b is just a derogatory way of saying you are "new" to something or that you are an amatuer.
Other words with relation to the games:
*Ppl - People, mostly used in Roleplaying Maps
*rvr - Random vs Random
*LOL - It means laughing out loudly
I've played Call of Duty and I'm not so bad to say.
I would like to play the sims 3, try to install it now haha.
